Al Sharq Hospital organized a medical campaign at the Fishermen Association – Fujairah on 11th November 2019, in collaboration with Emirates Red Crescent. The hospital medical team conducted free medical checkups for the association members and fishermen, which included: Blood Sugar checkup, Blood Pressure, BMI measurement, and on spot consultations by our experienced physician.

Al Sharq Hospital celebrated UAE Flag Day in a special ceremony at the hospital as part of the countrywide celebrations held to mark this occasion. The flag hoisting ceremony was attended by Mr. Saif Al Salami - Managing Director of Fujairah National Group, and Dr. Stuart Bennett – CEO of Al Sharq Healthcare, along with the hospital medical and administrative staff who were keen to take part in the National event.
Fujairah National Group joined the nation-wide celebrations of UAE Flag Day with a flag hoisting ceremony today morning at 11:00 am. UAE marks November 3rd as Flag Day every year that coincided with the anniversary of the accession of His Highness His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan as President of the UAE. The flag hoisting ceremony took place at FNG HO, in the presence and participation of FNG managers and employees.
Al Sharq Hospital organized Breast Cancer Awareness lecture for female employees at Novotel Hotel – Fujairah, on Wednesday 30th October 2019. The awareness lecture was delivered by Dr. Nalini Moka – Specialist General Surgeon from the Hospital, which included the demonstration of breast self-exam and breast cancer signs and symptoms.
Al Sharq Hospital organized a breast cancer awareness lecture at Fujairah Aviation Academy on Thursday 24th October 2019. The aim of this awareness lecture, which was presented to the academy female employees, was to highlight the significant contribution of early detection of breast cancer to the success of the treatment. During the lecture, Dr. Nalini Moka – Specialist General Surgeon from the hospital, has also demonstrated the breast self-exam for the attendees, and discussed the importance of getting doctor’s evaluation immediately for any changes observed during the breast self-exam.
In collaboration with Ittihad Kalba Sports Club, Al Sharq Hospital conducted a comprehensive medical fitness test for the team players which allows for optimal performance and ensures players safety for the upcoming football season 2019-2020. The medical test included a series of checkups through multiple departments including Cardiology Department for cardiac screening with an ECG, screening echocardiogram, in addition to cardiology consultation. The players had also gone through Renal Function test, CBC, CRP, Lipid Profile, and all other required tests, which followed by a review of recent injuries to ensure full recovery. The most important aspect of this health check is the identification of unknown medical conditions that might place an athlete at risk from participating in football.
